On December 17, 2022, Osereme and Marvin exchanged their I Do’s at one of Houston's most stunning wedding venues: the Bell Tower on 34th. The couple – who met through family – opted for a heartfelt daytime ceremony officiated by the groom’s father, a pastor and ordained minister. As they recited Bible passages about love and marriage, participated in a traditional candle-lighting ceremony to symbolically unite their individual flames into one, and shared a brief prayer, they vowed to love and cherish one another for the rest of their lives.
Luxury Wedding Reception Houston
Osereme and Marvin drew upon their Nigerian roots to create an unforgettable reception infused with traditional customs and nonstop dancing. From the grand entrances of both families, the wedding party, and the bride and groom, to the African tradition of "spraying", where the couple is showered with money as they dance, guests were treated to a celebration rich in culture and tradition.
Wedding Venue Houston
To plan their big day with love in every detail, the couple sought help from several coveted wedding vendors. Instead of going for all-inclusive wedding venues in Houston, they worked with different suppliers and chose to celebrate at the breathtaking Italian villa-inspired Bell Tower on 34th which also provided the food. Osereme was a stunning vision in her off-the-shoulder Sarah Seven wedding dress, while Marvin looked dashing in a black suede Ralph Lauren tuxedo jacket paired with Joseph Couture tuxedo pants, shoes, and bow tie.
A Day to Remember
Traditional Aso Ebi fabric representing unity and family also played an important role in the couple’s big day. It’s a custom to wear Nigerian cloth during special ceremonies as a symbol of unity and family. For the bride and groom, it was a joy to see friends and family adorned in unique Aso Ebi designs and elegant Gele head ties, adding a beautiful finishing touch to their traditional Nigerian attire.
As the two made their grand exit from the ceremony, they ran towards their getaway car while their loved ones showered them with flower petals to the upbeat tune of Bruno Mars' "Marry You.” From start to finish, it was a picture-perfect wedding celebration that was truly unique.
